Create Dodge & Burn Layers in Photoshop – I Create Content #44

Hey everyone! It’s amazing how a tried & true Photoshop technique can be used in different creative ways by people in the community. Today’s video is inspired by my good friend Glyn Dewis who “Calvinized” a technique that I myself picked up from Jack Davis years ago. In my tutorial I show you how to dodge & burn non-destructively in Photoshop, and you have to jump over to Glyn’s blog post to see how he used this technique. Enjoy!

You have a gift of teaching, I ran across your tutorials on utube, great work, clear and precise, thank you.
I have had ps since 6 and if you get a chance you can see I’m self taught and learned thru trial and error. I went from 7 to CS 5 and what a great product.
You had mentioned suggestions, I’m looking to take my single raw images to the next level, that of a Dave Hill,Bill Simone http://www.billsimonephotography.com/ look, without the grunge, dragan look. I have played around with selective sharpening and you would probably laugh if you saw my formula for the images on my site.
If you could do a video on this type of effect where I can use cs5 to it’s fullest, it would be appreciate and welcome not only to me but to the photography community.
    Thanks
    Jim
