It’s time for another Tip Tuesday. Today I’ll be demonstrating how you can use Content Aware Scale to transform an image. This is extremely useful to photographers & designers that need to stretch or squash an image for a design or layout. Have a look:

If the embedded video doesn’t work, you can view the video directly on YouTube. Be sure to tag Kevin or I on Twitter with your Photoshop questions, watch for the hashtag #TipTues and join me for next week’s tip.

Hey A.J.

Awesome tutorial demonstrating an ‘in the field’ use for Content Aware Scaling.

With the introduction of Content Aware Fill to the mix there’s just so much available to us it blows my mind; what I ask is Photoshop going to be like in say 5 years time? Incredible just thinking about it.

All the best to you,
Glyn

Thanks for the tip A.J.

And yes I did think immediately think you were going to use CAF for touching up that sand problem caused by the stretching :-) Maybe I’m just looking for every opportunity to test drive these new CS5 features, instead of using the older tools ;-)

Regards,
David

Thanks for a great tutorial! I can definitely use this on some of my kayaking shots!
