If you are a Photoshop user who did not celebrate the change of Undo’s keyboard shortcut to CMD+Z (Mac) CTRL+Z (PC) from the old guard of CMD+OPT+Z/CTRL+ALT+Z then I’m here to help.
You can change back to the legacy Undo shortcut by going to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts
While the short term benefit of using the legacy shortcut key is uninterrupted workflow, I advise getting used to the change sooner than later.
Much has been made about the JDI changes introduced in Photoshop CC 2019, specifically the Shift key behavior when using Free Transform. If you want to revert Photoshop back to the previous behavior do as follows:
Adobe announced that the Lightroom 4.2 update is available for download. Lightroom should have prompted you to update, but if you ignored or cancelled the message simply go to the menu and choose Help–>Check for Updates.
You can also download the updates directly from Adobe’s website.
Adobe released Lightroom 4 this week to the cheers of many photographers. I wanted to bring to your attention a VERY CRITICAL bug that will impact your Lightroom 3 Catalogs. Thank you to David Swinney for bringing this to my attention via my Facebook page.
It appears that if you update a Lightroom 3 catalog to Lightroom 4 it will overwrite point curves created in the Tone Curve panel within the Develop module for every image. This is regardless of the Process Version used, and it cannot be undone via History (at least reports at this point are inconsistent). Adobe is aware of this issue and working to resolve it.
My recommendation is that you make a copy of your old LR3 catalog prior to updating to LR4. For those that want to see examples of the issue you can read this blog post by Chris Marquardt. If you follow the links he provides you’ll see even more examples provided by other LR4 users.
I will be posting info on my blog, and updating folks as I obtain more information.
UPDATE 03/08/2012 – I received word from Chris Tarantino that this particular issue is not widespread (meaning not everyone has seen it) it also appears to be specific to the use of point curves.
Adobe released updates for both Camera RAW 5.6 & Lightroom 2.6 yesterday. Lightroom users, you did install the Camera RAW update right? The following link to the camera raw support page provides the appropriate download links for both Mac & PC computers. Here are some additional tips when updating your software:
Camera RAW 5.6 – This update applies if you run Photoshop CS4, or Photoshop Elements 7 or 8. You’ll want to install this update if you also use Lightroom to ensure file compatibility.
Lightroom 2.6 – This update simply installs on top of your current version of Lightroom. There is no need to use your installation CDs UNLESS you’re upgrading from version 1 (but then where have you been?)

The Lightroom 2.6 update fixes known issues with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) including visual artifacts in the Develop module, edit errors when handing files off to Photoshop, and the dreaded PowerPC problem that affected folks using LR 2.5.
