I posted a summary over at the GUILD website for those that missed last weekend’s one day conference. Kudos to everyone who participated in the Wild Wild West event, turnout was good, and the presenters were outstanding. I look forward to a bigger event next year.
Adobe launched a new Media Player alongside its new Adobe TV channel. A review of the Adobe Media Player is up at Ars Technica. I agree with the initial assessment that limited channels & limited file support will not do much to peak interest. However, as an AIR-based application, the Media Player is a cross-platform solution for watching and storing web content on a local machine.
Consumers have numerous decisions to make when grabbing their content on the web. I’m interested to see which media players, video channels, and file formats will rise as the people’s choice.
The Lightroom 2.0 beta is available for download over at Adobe Labs. This beta can be run simultaneously with your current Lightroom 1.3.1 install, and is not meant to import catalogs from the current version.
Michelle made me the father of a beautiful baby girl this evening. Sydney Madison Wood weighed in at 8lbs, over 19.5 inches long.
I feel truly blessed today with this early birthday gift. It’s an exciting change in our lives.

This is not an introduction, as I have been on & off the web more times then I care to count. The domain is old, but the site spawns forth a new direction. I thank you in advance for your patronage, and welcome you to my next adventure.
I hope to knock the dust off, and get a design up for this blog relatively soon. It cannot be WEB2.0 without some personalization. Slowly, I will sort out the categories of things to discuss, while adding an RSS feed here or there. Look for some upcoming podcasts, and other media things.
